Since we opened in 2010 we have had many weddings and ceremonies at Blue Gables - all of them very, very special and unique. 

The couples often choose unique spots for their ceremony as we have 20 acres of beautiful land to choose from.  From under the big old Red Gum Tree to up in the middle of the vines to down by the cellar door, every spot is magical. We even have views of the picturesque Lake Glenmaggie.  

Wedding receptions can vary from assembled marquees on the lawn, inside the cellar door itself or an “outside dancefloor” near the cellar door.  Stand up cocktail style functions or the more formal sit down type. We love that we can offer such versatility for each individual couple.  Everything works....and works well! 

We have fabulous caterers within close proximity and we also offer our wood fired menu for the more casual affair. Our wines have become renowned as being amongst the best in Gippsland.

We take so much pride in offering your guests the very best wines for your special day.  We feel the wine is very much as important as the food!

Venue Hire

Venue Hire for Ceremony and/or Reception is $3000 which enables you to have your photos on the property (once paid this secures your date)


You are welcome to choose any location on the property for your ceremony. We can provide wine barrels, up to 70 white garden chairs, use of our sculptured vine love-heart, registry table and chairs. (red carpet is an additional $200).

Ceremonies may commence no earlier than 3:30pm. We do not close our cellar door for lunch but will ensure all customers have vacated property prior to your wedding.

If you wish for a Marquee wedding, then the Marquee would be located on the lawn next to our cellar door. This would be an additional $70-$100 per head set up cost depending on requirements such as Marquee size, guest numbers, silk lining, chair and table hire, dance floor, lighting etc. (individual quote necessary)

Stand Up or Sit Down?

Blue Gables offer sit down weddings inside the cellar door with seating capacity at 90 people. An additional capacity of 50 people can be seated on the enclosed deck.

Chair covers for reception are $5 each if desired. Table Cloths for reception are $15 each if desired. Linen Napkins are to be supplied by your caterer for sit down weddings.

Dining Packages

For a cocktail wedding, capacity extends to 150 people.

Blue Gables can provide catering for $40 per person all you can eat in a cocktail style format, including cheese platters and wood fired potato wedges. Half price for children u/12.

For a sit down reception, it is best to work with our preferred caterers

Duart (Maffra) or Tinamba Hotel will create a customised menu to your liking. Both of these caterers also cater for Cocktail style receptions. There is a $10 per person surcharge payable to Blue Gables for the use of outside caterers.

Drinks Package

$65 per person for 5 hrs
Includes THE Complete Range of Blue Gables Wines including Sparkling Wines, plus Premium Beer and Cider on Tap.

On Consumption
Alternatively, you can run a tab with all drinks at bar prices. Wines served by the glass. Beer and Cider on tap. Spirits are available also.

Last drinks are served at 11:30pm and venue to be vacated by 12am. Not negotiable. We have a PA system for hire for speeches ($120). Catering must be paid for in full 2 weeks prior to your wedding date. Bar tabs must be settled in full on the day of wedding.
